WordPress is a free and open-source content management system (CMS) written in PHP and paired with a MySQL or MariaDB database. It is roughly 16 megabytes in size.
Almost 4 years ago, I submitted my first Bug Report to wordpress, but after a short discussion, it was labeled as “Won’t Fix”.
About 1 year ago, the ticket was re-opened and soon a fix has been merged.
A few weeks ago, I received an email from WordPress, and as a thank you (to contribute to the WordPress Project), I was given a coupon to redeem up to $25 (USD) to buy some swags from Official WordPress Mercantile Shop.
$25 is just for a Swag Item – so picking a T-shirt is a no-brainer!
I then picked the classic WordPress T-shirt which was worth of $18 – and soon I received it!
Thank you wordpress, for making this world a little bit better! The wordpress project is huge and has been evolved for two decades (since 2003). It is a content management system that is based on PHP and MySQL. Many existing bloggers out there today are using WordPress as their blogging system.
As long as we are still using wordpress, there is still need for PHP – a programming language that has also been more than 30 years!
Wordpress is King!
