For some PPTs (Microsoft PowerPoint) that you downloaded, you can’t basically open them. These generally are the PPT presentations created by earlier versions of Microsoft Powerpoints e.g. 97 to 2003.
Microsoft will pop up the first error dialog:
It asks you if to repair the PPT, but after you click OK to procceed repairing, it apparently can’t fix this problem. The error message is quite misleading by saying that it is due to anti-virus problem. However, you can open the PPT using the earlier versions of Microsoft Powerpoint.
The Solution to Fix PPT (Unblock PPT)
The correct solution is to unblock the PPT by right click the file and choose properties. You then need to manually unblock the file, which is set to ‘blocked’ model by default.
