Previously, it is recommended that the USBCheck can be quite helpful in checking the quality of any USB storage devices (flash drives) such as SD cards. The statistics obtained from USBCheck are: average read/write speed, the capacity and data integration. It tests by writing random data to the USB devices and verify them later.
This article introduces another freeware, which is fast, small and pretty useful: The FlashBench.

As shown in the screenshot, first pick the USB drive letter, and simply click the Benchmark button. The average read/write speed for each different sizes of data are gathered and plotted vividly. If you are testing SD cards, make sure the SD card readers are fully USB 3.0 otherwise, the speed statistics will be limited to e.g. USB 2.0 which is roughly 20 to 30MB/s transfer rate.
