my bench, compiled in release mode (thus probably the compiler is inlining the function) are 638 millisec for your version versus 6917 for the Math.Log version, that's over 10x faster.

552. 2016-09-21 08:25:13 asimonassi Comments on Fast Integer Log10:
I read your comment and i too thought it was correct, but actually a binary search would be slower: integer having log10(x)>=9 are (4,294,967,296 - 999,999,999) = 3,294,967,297 that's about 76% of the total, having log10(x)>=8 are 20%, having log10(x)>=7 are 2%, having 6 are 0,2%... so it make sense to do the test in that exact order as the autor.

Yikes! I just go for free stuff except from cases where you sort of have to pay. Hosting: $5/month + VAT Domains: ~£10/year each for 4 - will let at least 1 expire. Also, whatever theme this is, its font has amazing Ws!

+1. Yes. well, i actually didn't expect this to make a fortune and it is nearly impossible to count on adsense. My annual investment includes a lot of other services, such as CloudFlare, WP plugins.. So i still have to pay a few hundred pounds to maintain a few sites. But that is ok... I can afford this for now.

Ah. We all procrastinate from something, lol. I procrastinate from procrastinating until there's a big long daisy chain of procrastination. Looking around your site, I feel sad at how few comments you get. At least it would appear from your earning reports that AdSense is paying for the hosting. Most wouldn't dare share that information but I love the transparency. Well, cheerio.

Thanks! I know and just am too lazy to fix them up. But thanks for your suggestions!

Looks like it! Um... since you've been so helpful, it's time I repay you somehow. In your automated emails, the subject line appears as "Your comment at [Computing & Technology] has a new reply How to avoid Wordpress Emails going to Spam Folder?" and your name is "Computing & Technology" so perhaps that could do with a bit of fixing up. 😛 I'm not sure if your site will filter the tags and amp into the actual things or not though, but hopefully you can still see the original message if need be.

If you have a massive number of emails sending out per day, that is better to use third party email servers (ofc they are paid-services). For small blogs like mine, correct configuration of SMTP via Gmail is sufficient!

Holy smokes, that was a quick reply! It was actually going into the spam folder for my Outlook/Hotmail account after being forwarded through another account, but if it goes into spam for nearly all email providers then that's a bit of an issue. Perhaps I'll look for an alternative to SMTP, though I don't want to go paying for anything. :/

Yes, google enforces a strict checking rule for spam emails. So make sure your From is your actual email address.

561. 2016-09-19 19:10:59 Ten Hour Guy Comments on How to avoid Wordpress Emails going to Spam Folder?:
Hmm... I already am using SMTP. Could it be due to my "from" address mismatching the actual Google Mail address? I'm only hiding the Google Mail address for a semi-professional look.

565. 2016-09-06 07:01:27 ACMer Comments on Stop Angry Bots such as 360Spider to Crawel My Site:
I used to block baidu, 360. Now it is OK since I've upgraded my server and I've used CloudFlare to firewall any bad requests. It is OK to block all Chinese bots if you are not targeting the audiences in China.

566. 2016-09-06 05:37:14 Kris Comments on Stop Angry Bots such as 360Spider to Crawel My Site:
All chinese bot is bad? I'm blocking baiduspider because that aggressive bot came a couple times a day, and my cpu hit 100%. I think I'll block all of chinese bot, because that country is not my target market. lol. Btw, why you're not block any bot in your robots.txt?

I don't know what is the purpose of doing that.

Hello. Thank a lot for this article. I have a question and it is that, maybe remove "via" in "From" header? all emails "From" are: [FromName] [FromAddress] via gmail.com best regards

bit hacking can be quite tricky in speed up the algorithm

Bithacking makes sense when the number has more digits than CPU word length.

574. 2016-07-26 00:10:18 Hubert Farnsworth Comments on Creating Sitemap Generator for PHPBB3.1 using PHP:
Yes, I got the same error with a browser. I then stopped troubleshooting because I found a 3.1 extension which does sitemap creation. Thanks for sharing your code and responding.

The sitemaps are split into sub sitemaps, but Google should be able to crawl without problems. Have you tested the 404 in browser?
