Using AT keyboard on modern PC using AT-PS2-USB connector

Some pretty old keyboards are connected to AT port, which looks a bit bigger than PS/2.

The 8-bit famicom clone SB2000 has a very nice keyboard, but it is with this AT connector so you can’t use it directly on modern PC (inc. laptops).

AT to PS2 connector

First, you would need to convert your AT to PS2 (which is more popular than AT but less popular than USB).

PS2 to USB connector (adapter)

If you have a PS2 port on your PC, then the above connector (AT to PS2) would just work as fine. However, most PC no longer support PS/2 port, and therefore you would need to convert PS2 further to USB.

The following DOES NOT work. It is just a very simple connector (only power without data).

This also works like a charm. It looks pretty and is smaller and compact.

So, to sum up, a AT to PS2 connector plus a PS2 to USB (male) connector would work.
