The new machine Lenovo ThinkCenter M900 Tower Station has just arrived! my current Lenovo Laptop is becoming slow so I need a faster desktop.
The default RAM is 8G so I upgraded it to 32G (4×8). The 1TB hybrid harddrive with 8GB SSD should be OK. The CPU is i7-6700 (8 cores). The main frequency is 3.4G but should be able to do 4G given a good cooler fan.
It is silent. In the future it will be more silent if we upgrade to 1TB SSD. With Teamviewer, I can work on multiple PCs at the same time.
Here is what I am using at the moment (Lenovo laptop).
ThinkCenter M900 Tower Station:
The Eight-core 3.4G is good enough for most tasks. The only drawbacks I find is the Graphic card, only having 2 Display Port, which means I need to get a DisplayPort-to-HDMI adapter. In fact, I have to remove the graphic card (Nvidia Geforce GT720) first to enter the BIOS in order to set the default onboard graphic card, otherwise the monitor plugging to the onboard graphic (VGA) port doesn’t have any output.
